1- the largest source of investment in Egypt is the UK followed by the US, the money that the UK invested in Egypt last couple of years is 3 times the revenue of the whole oil and gas sector. So whatever economic growth we have can not be sustained without this money.
2- our largest trade partners are Italy, Germany and France. However our whole GDP in a year is like the GDP of the Germans, same number of people as us, in a couple of weeks. In other words losing us as a trade partner will matter but not much, one Chinese province can replace us with very little consequences to the European economy
3- our largest food supplier is the US with half the corn and wheat coming to us from American farmers. Your fantasy of replacing all the fertile area we have to wheat cultivation will simply deny the Egyptian farmers significant source of income they have from planting more pricy crops, please do not tell me that the state should fund them because your other ideas mean that our state will not have a piaster, but sure will have a lot of fucken glory. If you can stop moaning for a while, go and read how food became scarce in Zimbabwe and Venezuela after heavy handed interference by the state.
4- the suez canal is an important asset for international trade but if we use it as a political weapon. the case for another canal through isreal will be strong enough for the funding to be given to them. In this case beside the loss of income to the state we will have huge unemployment in the canal region where more muslims, if this is your only fucken racist measure of the worth of human beings, live than in the whole of Palestine
5- the international oil market is like a big pool to which all the producers give and all consumers withdraw. Soon the gas market will be similar. so speaking that an x country supplies y country with oil is non sense. What happens is that the more the suppliers put in the pool the cheaper it becomes to withdraw from it. But there is a problem with oil that makes constraining its flow to the pool counterproductive. The problem is that the current prices make other alternatives, like coal, competitive so it is for the interest of the producers to keep the prices at the current levels without further increases because when gasoline from coal hits the market, research and development will make it cheaper with the passage of time thanks to minds who think about how to make life better not about how to end it in a glorious way.
So your planes to interrupt international trade and oil market might work for a little while before they backfire and leave us with the only weapon the we truly have, that is suicidal motherfuckers like you. So why not cut the chase and do as I told you earlier.
